Padre Oath is a whisky built on intention, patience, and craftsmanship. Matured for two years in ex-bourbon barrels, it develops a solid foundation of classic whisky character before being finished in Hungarian oak, adding depth, structure, and a distinctive oak-driven complexity.

The influence of the fresh oak is deliberate rather than dominant, adding firmness and complexity while allowing the spirit’s core character to remain intact. Bottled non-chill filtered, it preserves natural texture, weight, and flavour - exactly as intended.

As with all Padre releases, Oath is produced as part of our Standard Issue range, with each bottle expressing our hands-on approach to distilling. Oath is a whisky of clarity and refinement - bright fruit, gentle sweetness and polished spice in harmonious balance.

Nose
Fresh orchard fruits lead the way (think crisp green apple and ripe pear) lifted by delicate blossom notes. Beneath, soft honey, warm brioche and a touch of vanilla create a gentle sweetness, while the Hungarian oak lends a refined hint of sweet spice.

Palate
Silky and poised, with a light yet beautifully structured mouthfeel. Flavours of baked apple and custard tart unfold over buttery pastry, accented by a dusting of cinnamon and subtle caramel warmth. The oak influence adds a fine thread of spice that brings balance and depth without overpowering the fruit.

Finish
Golden syrup and orchard sweetness linger gracefully before evolving into a soft, warming spice - nutmeg and sweet oak gently fading into a clean, elegant close.
